Moving pictures from a camera to a Mac

). Remove the SD card from the camera, and put it in the port on the back of the monitor.

). When the icon of the SD card appears on the desktop, double click it to open it. Inside, there's a folder with all of the pictures.

). When the folder first opens, drag the photos from the SD card to a folder named after the project the photos are for.

). Drag the photos from the folder to the Lightroom icon.

). Once Lightroom opens, all the pictures that you dragged to the icon will be selected. If the "Add" button at the top of the tab is not selected, select it and click import

). After the images have been imported, it's best to sort through them, picking ones that are in focus and properly exposed.

). To pick photos, press the "P" key, and to deselect them press the "X" key.

). To sort by the ones you picked and make them more easily accessible, click "View" at the top of the screen, "sort", and then "pick".

). Once you have the pictures selected and sorted, select the develop tab at the top of the program, and edit your photos.
